About Pocket Spend

PocketSpend is built by ONXYN Limited, a small fintech team based in Birmingham, United Kingdom. We started because no existing budgeting app actually worked for the way most modern users live — expats sending money home, freelancers juggling Schedule C and HMRC SA, couples splitting bills across two banks in two countries, consultants paid in AED but holidaying in EUR.

The dominant apps were either parochial (Mint never came to the UAE, YNAB never understood fortnightly pay) or extractive (Snoop, MoneyDashboard and Emma all monetised by funneling you toward affiliate products). We wanted neither.

So we built PocketSpend. Subscription-funded so we never have to sell your data. Open Banking via official aggregators in every region (Plaid, TrueLayer, Basiq, Lean Technologies). Region-specific tax tooling. Multi-currency wallets as a first-class concept. A real free plan in every market we serve.

We launched in 2024 as BudgetEase and rebranded in late 2025 to PocketSpend when we expanded to four regions. We are still small. We are growing. We are profitable on the UK book and reinvesting everything into product and engineering.

What we believe

• Your financial data belongs to you. We never sell it.
• Budgeting tools should work the way you actually get paid — weekly, fortnightly, monthly, irregular.
• The world is multi-currency. Apps that pretend otherwise fail expats, travelers and remote workers.
• A small subscription is more honest than free + advertising.
• Tax tools should be built-in, not bolted-on, for sole traders and freelancers.
