Why Aussies are leaving PocketSmith, YNAB and Frollo
PocketSmith is A$25/mo
PocketSmith Super is A$25/mo, Foundation is A$15/mo. We deliver the same forecasting at A$9.99/mo.
YNAB hates fortnightly
YNAB is hard-coded to calendar months and US tax categories. Useless for Aussies paid fortnightly with ATO deductions.
Sydney-hosted
Your data lives in AWS ap-southeast-2. Privacy Act 1988 compliant. CDR Privacy Safeguards apply.
Built for Aussie finances
CDR Open Banking
Australia-only Consumer Data Right standard. Read-only, ACCC-accredited, refreshes every 12 months by law. Safer than screen scraping (which Frollo, MoneyBrilliant and others still use).
Fortnightly Budgeting
64% of Australians get paid fortnightly. Our budgets align to your real pay cycle β weekly, fortnightly, monthly or four-weekly β not the calendar month YNAB forces on you.
ATO Categories
Pre-built categories matching the ATO Schedule of Allowable Deductions: D1 work-related car, D2 travel, D3 clothing, D4 self-education, D5 other work expenses.
Super Contribution Tracker
Track Concessional contributions ($30k cap from FY25) and Non-Concessional ($120k cap). Warn before you breach. Track employer SG contributions independently.
GST Tracker for Sole Traders
For ABN holders. Track GST collected versus GST paid. Quarterly BAS reminders. Export a GST report in the exact format MyGov accepts.
EOFY Export
June 30 ready. One-tap export of all deductible expenses for your tax agent. Or push directly to Xero, MYOB or Hnry.

What Aussies are saying
βI am paid fortnightly and YNAB drove me mental forcing everything into calendar months. PocketSpend just gets it. My ute fuel and tools are tagged D1 automatically.β

βGST tracking + EOFY export saves me 6 hours every BAS. Cheaper than PocketSmith and the Australian categories are finally accurate.β

Frequently asked questions
Is this CDR accredited?βΌ
We connect via a CDR-accredited intermediary (Basiq). The Consumer Data Right is Australian law β read-only access, your explicit consent, refreshed annually. Frollo built their own ADR but most apps including ours use Basiq for coverage.
Which Aussie banks are supported?βΌ
All four majors (CommBank, ANZ, NAB, Westpac), plus Macquarie, ING, Bendigo, Bankwest, UBank, Suncorp, St.George, BankSA, Up, 86 400, Judo, and 70+ more under CDR.
How much does it cost in AUD?βΌ
Free plan with one bank. Personal Premium is A$9.99/month versus PocketSmith at A$15-25/month or YNAB at US$14.99 (about A$22). Business with GST/BAS is A$14.99/month.
How is this different from PocketSmith or Frollo?βΌ
PocketSmith is great but expensive (A$15-25/mo) and the UI is dated. Frollo is free but limited and screen-scrapes some banks. WeMoney focuses on credit scores. PocketSpend covers all of it at a lower price with native CDR.
Does it support fortnightly pay?βΌ
Yes β weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly. We project your end-of-pay-cycle balance and warn you 5 days before you go red. Critical for the 64% of Aussies paid fortnightly.
Is my data stored offshore?βΌ
No. Australian user data is hosted in AWS ap-southeast-2 (Sydney). We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 and CDR Privacy Safeguards. Read-only access, never able to move money.
